　　motionless adj. 不动的，静止的; 呆若木鸡的; 不运动的; 靓;

　　e.g. Fish and seaweed rose, caught motionless in the surging water. 鱼和海藻浮起来，在汹涌的水流中动弹不得。

　　The injured man was lying motionless on his back. 那名受伤的男子一动不动地仰面躺在那里。

　　immobile adj. 固定的; 不变的; 稳定的;

　　e.g. A riding accident left him immobile. 一场骑马意外事故导致他瘫痪。

　　The dog lay at rest absolutely immobile. 那条狗安静地躺着,纹丝不动.

　　☆以上两个都可以指身体上的静止

　　inactive adj. 不活动的，不活跃的; 懒散的，怠惰的; 闲置的; [化]钝性的;

　　e.g. The satellite had been inactive since its launch two years ago. 该卫星自从两年前发射以来一直没起作用。

　　He had been totally inactive for two weeks. 他已经闲了两个星期了.

　　stagnant adj. 不流动的，停滞的; 污浊的; 不景气的; 迟钝的，呆笨的;

　　e.g. He is seeking advice on how to revive the stagnant economy. 他正在就如何振兴低迷的经济征求意见。

　　Their national economy is stagnant. 他们的国家经济停滞不前.
