学习“理解”的10种英语表达，提高新加坡AEIS考试通过率

　　realize的本意是“使变为事实;使发生”，引申为指人清楚地明白、领悟、体会到某事。

　　I realize how difficult it's going to be, but we must try.

　　我知道这有多困难，但我们必须试一试。

　　2. grasp

　　2. 理解，领悟，明白

　　这个词多指弄明白费解的问题，常指对抽象理论、原理的领悟或理解。

　　I think I managed to grasp the main points of the lecture.

　　我觉得我还是理解了演讲的要点。

　　3. make sense of

　　3. 懂得

　　Can you make sense of what I say?

　　你能领会我说的意思吗?

　　4. appreciate

　　4. 理解，领会;意识到

　　I appreciate that it's a difficult decision for you to make.

　　我体会得出，你作出这样的决定有多难。

　　5. comprehend

　　5. 充分理解;领悟

　　I cannot comprehend this phrase.

　　我无法理解这个短语。

　　6. get it

　　6. 理解

　　get的动词意思挺多的，可以表示“懂，理解;听见”，get a joke的意思就是听懂了笑话。

　　I told that joke to Sophia, but she didn't get it.

　　我跟索菲娅讲了那个笑话，可她没有听懂。

　　7. get the message

　　当别人不想冒犯你，采用委婉的方式表达意思，你如果体会到对方暗示的意义，就是get the message。

　　Oh, I get the message – you want to go without me, right?

　　哦，我明白了，你不想和我一起去，对吧?

　　picture除了表示图画;照片，还有“情况;局面;事态”的意思。

　　gist的意思是一段信息的要旨，要点;大意，get the gist就是理解了大概的意思。

　　I think I got the gist of what she was saying.

　　我们常常会丢硬币看正反做决定，当硬币掉下来的时候，结果也就出来了。

　　She looked confused for a moment, then suddenly the penny dropped.
